Vacancy Details (Post-wise)

Detailed pay scales for each post and city-wise distribution are provided in the official notification (Appendix-4).

Application Fee

Payment Mode: Online - Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, IMPS, Cash Card / Mobile Wallet. Bank transaction charges are to be borne by the candidate.

Important: If the examination is conducted in two stages (Preliminary + Mains), the examination fee is payable separately for both stages.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)

• Minimum age: 21 years (born on or before 01.01.2005)

• Maximum age: 40 years (born on or after 01.01.1986)

• Maximum age for Divyangjan: 55 years (born on or after 01.01.1971)

Age Relaxation in Maximum Age Limit:

• SC / ST / OBC (UP), Outstanding Sports Persons (UP), State Government employees, teachers / employees of UP Basic Education Council, non-teaching staff and teachers of UP-aided secondary schools - 5 years (must not be born before 01.01.1981).

• Divyangjan (UP): 15 years relaxation.

• Ex-Servicemen / Emergency Commissioned Officers / Short-Term Commissioned Officers (UP): Relaxation = period of service in the Army + 03 years.

Eligibility

• Candidates must be Citizens of India.

• Educational qualification depends on the post - refer to Appendix-5 of the official notification for detailed service rules.

• Only Date of Birth and Name as recorded on the High School (Class X) certificate will be considered valid.

• Reservation / age relaxation benefits are available only to natives of Uttar Pradesh in the relevant categories.

• Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination should not apply - qualification must be possessed by the last date of acceptance of the application.

Examination Pattern

• The examination will be conducted online in objective (multiple-choice) mode.

• The exam may be a single-stage Main Examination, OR if applications exceed a specified limit, a two-stage process: Preliminary + Main Examination.

• Negative Marking: 1/4 (25%) of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No deduction for unanswered questions.

• Minimum Efficiency Standard: 35% (SC/ST) and 40% (other categories) in the Main Examination.

• Question paper will be in both Hindi and English, except questions of General Hindi & General English.

Selection Process

1. Online Examination - Preliminary (if conducted) + Main Examination.

2. Based on Preliminary, candidates up to 15 times the vacancies will be called for the Main Examination.

3. Based on Main Examination, candidates up to 3 times the vacancies will be called for Interview (where applicable) and up to 5 times for Proficiency / Skill Test (where applicable).

4. Category-3 posts: Selection on the basis of Online Examination + Skill Test (where it is an essential qualification).

5. Category-1 & Category-2 posts: Selection on the basis of Online Examination + Interview.

6. Selected candidates will undergo a medical examination as required under the rules.

How to Apply Online

1. Visit the official UPCISB website https://www.upcisb.upsdc.gov.in.

2. Click on "APPLY ONLINE" and select "Click here for New Registration".

3. Enter your name, contact details and email ID to receive a temporary registration number and password (also sent via email/SMS).

4. Log in and complete the application form: personal details, educational qualifications, category, post preference (cannot be changed later) and address.

5. Upload photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm, 200 × 230 px, 20–50 KB), signature (140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB), left-hand thumb impression (240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB) and handwritten declaration (800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB) in JPG format. All scans must be at least 200 DPI, true colour.

6. The handwritten declaration text (in candidate's own handwriting, English only):

   "I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."

7. Preview the form and click "COMPLETE REGISTRATION". No edits are possible thereafter.

8. Pay the prescribed application fee online through the integrated payment gateway.

9. Take a printout of the application form along with the e-Receipt for your records.

Important Instructions

• Signatures / declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted.

• Ration Card and Learner's Driving Licence are not valid identity proofs at the exam venue.

• A candidate is allowed to appear only once in the online examination for a post - multiple appearances will lead to cancellation of candidature.

• Each post / institution requires a separate application, and post / institution preference cannot be changed under any circumstances after submission.

• Government employees (Central/State) must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.

• The female candidates must use caste certificate from father's side to claim reservation/age relaxation.

• Provisions of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 and the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 will apply - strict action will be taken against candidates found using unfair means or impersonation.

Identity Verification at Exam Centre

Candidates must carry the Admit Card along with original and a photocopy of any one of the following valid Photo ID:

• PAN Card / Passport / Permanent Driving Licence / Voter ID Card / Bank Passbook with photograph / Aadhaar Card or e-Aadhaar / Employee ID / Bar Council Card / Valid college / university ID with photograph / Photo ID issued by a Gazetted Officer or Public Representative on official letterhead.

Candidates should reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the Admit Card. Although the exam duration is 2 hours, candidates may need to be present at the venue for around 4 hours for verification and formalities.

Admit Card

Admit Cards will be available for download on https://www.upcisb.upsdc.gov.in using Registration / Roll Number and Password / Date of Birth. Intimation will also be sent via email / SMS. Candidates must affix the latest identifiable photograph on the Admit Card before reporting.
