Age Limit

Candidates must meet the following age criteria as on 1 April 2026:

• Minimum Age: 20 years

• Maximum Age: 28 years

• Date of Birth Range: Candidates must have been born between 2 April 1998 and 1 April 2006 (both days inclusive).

• Relaxation: Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026, candidates must fulfill the following:

• Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University or Institute as on 1 April 2026.

• Experience Note: Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training in SBI or any other organization, or those with job experience of one year or more after graduation, are not eligible.

Selection Process

The selection for SBI apprentices is based on a two-stage process:

1. Online Written Test: An objective type test consisting of four sections.

2. Test of Local Language: Candidates must qualify in the local language test unless they have studied the language in 10th or 12th standard.

3. Medical Examination: Final engagement is subject to medical fitness.

Important Point

• Candidates can apply for engagement in only one state and can appear for the exam only once.

• The apprenticeship period is strictly for 1 year and does not guarantee regular employment in SBI.

• Candidates must produce an Aadhaar number at the time of engagement (except for those from North Eastern states).

6. Upload your scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and hand-written declaration.

7. Fill in the educational details and select your preferred exam centers.

Important Instructions

• Hand-written Declaration: Must be written by the candidate in English only on white paper with black ink.

• Photograph Specs: Recent passport size colour picture (4.5cm × 3.5cm), size 20kb to 50kb.

• Signature: Must be on white paper with black ink, size 10kb to 20kb. Do not use capital letters for signature.

• CIBIL Score: Candidates with a record of default in repayment of loans or credit card dues may be ineligible.

• Multiple Applications: If multiple applications are submitted, only the last completed one will be considered.
