Eligibility
NBT will consider only those candidates who are already serving in the Central Government, State Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organisations, Public Sector Undertakings, or Universities and Research Institutions, and who satisfy the post-specific criteria below.
1. Joint Director (Production) - Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; PG Diploma in book publishing with specialisation in production OR a three-year diploma in printing technology; 10 years' experience in production at senior managerial level in a leading publishing house or an autonomous organisation engaged in printing. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with 5 years' regular service in Pay Matrix Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 - 2,08,700) in eligible organisations, may apply.
2. Deputy Director (Cost & Finance) - Bachelor's degree in Commerce; Member of ICWA of India / Chartered Accountant of India or equivalent; minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience in financial management or auditing at managerial level; knowledge of Government Financial Rules. Officers holding analogous posts, or in Pay Matrix Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500) with at least 5 years' service in the level and 10 years' total managerial experience in Finance / Accounts of eligible organisations, may apply.
3. Deputy Director (Art) - Degree in commercial / applied art from a recognised institution; 7 years' experience in commercial / applied art; experience in designing books including illustrations, colour designs, jacket design, layout for books, magazines, posters and press advertisements in a reputed organisation. Desirable: experience in exhibition display and photography, knowledge of book production. Officers holding analogous posts, or with 5 years' regular service in Pay Matrix Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500), are eligible.
4 to 6. Regional Manager (ERO Kolkata / SRO Bengaluru / WRO Pune) - Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; minimum 10 years' experience in Sales & Marketing at managerial level in a reputed publishing house (public or private sector); proficiency in English, Hindi and at least one major Indian language. Desirable: MBA. Officers holding analogous posts, or with 5 years' regular service in Pay Matrix Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500), are eligible.
Departmental candidates of NBT may also apply for deputation against the same posts.
Selection Process
Applications routed through the proper channel are screened against the post-specific essential qualifications and experience.
Only shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, which is held at New Delhi.
The list of screened candidates is posted on the NBT website - no separate communication is issued to non-shortlisted applicants.
On selection, the candidate is appointed on a tenure of three years, extendable by a maximum of one year.
Outstation candidates called for interview are reimbursed to-and-fro fare by the shortest route as per DoPT rules.
