Eligibility

1. The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

2. Aadhaar card is mandatory.

3. Educational qualification - Pre-University Course (PUC) pass or equivalent.

4. Typing qualification - Senior Grade typing certificate in both Kannada and English from the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (or equivalent).

5. The original mark sheet must be produced when called for the qualifying examination.

6. A male candidate must not have more than one living wife. A female candidate must not have married a person already having a wife without prior government permission.

7. The candidate must be physically and mentally fit, with no defect that hinders the duties of the post.

8. Final medical fitness lies with the Medical Board / appointing authority.

Selection Process

1. An eligibility list is prepared on the basis of PUC marks and reservation in a 1:10 ratio.

2. Candidates on the eligibility list are called for the qualifying skill test - computer-based Kannada and English typing.

3. The skill test carries a maximum of 20 marks. Candidates must score at least 50% (10 out of 20) to qualify.

4. Final selection is based on merit among qualifiers.

5. The skill test is held at the Karnataka Lokayukta Central Office, Bengaluru, and candidates appear at their own expense - no TA / DA is paid.
