Eligibility

Newsreader (Urdu) - Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; proficiency in Urdu language; broadcast-grade voice and screen presence; awareness of current affairs and important personalities.
Video Editor / Videographer - 10+2 from a recognised board; Degree or Diploma in Film and Video Editing from a recognised university; minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field.
CG Operator (Urdu) - 10+2 from a recognised board; certificate in computer application; workable knowledge of Urdu language. Desirable: 1 year of experience in the field.
Editorial Assistant (Urdu) - Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; Degree or PG Diploma in Journalism / Mass Communication from a recognised university; minimum 3 years of experience in news broadcasting or news organisation work. Desirable: matriculation in the relevant language and acquaintance with regional / national / international affairs.
Copy Editor (Urdu) - Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; Degree or PG Diploma in Journalism / Mass Communication; 3 years of experience in the relevant field; proficiency in Urdu.
Website Assistant - Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; Diploma in Journalism / Mass Communication from a recognised university. Desirable: exposure to new-media operations or proven aptitude in the field.
Across all posts, applicants must be of Indian origin. Residents of Patna will normally be considered, since RNU Patna does not pay any travel allowance for tests or interviews.

Selection Process
RNU Patna and Prasar Bharati have reserved the right to put shortlisted candidates through one or more skill tests. The exact format will depend on the post and the response received.
Multiple choice or descriptive written test

Important Point
This is a casual assignee panel, not a regular government job - empanelled candidates cannot claim a permanent post.
A selected candidate will be offered a maximum of seven assignments per month, so the income depends on operational demand at DDK Patna.
No travel allowance or daily allowance will be paid for tests or interviews, so non-Patna candidates must factor in their own travel cost.
Any form of canvassing or recommendation will lead to outright rejection of the application.
The Director General, DD News retains the right to cancel the empanelment process at any time without prior notice, so applicants should not bank on a fixed timeline.
How to Apply

Fill the form in the prescribed format with full details - post applied for, name, date of birth, parent or spouse name, permanent and present address with PIN code, mobile number and email ID.
