Eligibility

For Two-Year B.Ed. Programme

Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 pattern) and / or a Master's Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities or Commerce with at least 50% marks, OR a Bachelor's in Engineering / Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with at least 55% marks (or any equivalent qualification), are eligible to appear.

For Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed.) Programme

Minimum qualification:

  • (a) Shastri (B.A. with Sanskrit as the main subject) or equivalent traditional examination from a recognised university with at least 50% marks, OR

  • (b) Master's Degree in Sanskrit / Acharya in traditional Sanskrit Shastra with 50% marks, or any equivalent qualification.

Shastri B.A. (including Sanskrit subject) candidates with minimum 50% marks recognised by a University or institution offering a two-year course, and Acharya (First Year) / M.A. (Sanskrit) candidates, must pass the bridge-course examination for the first year. In percentage determination, Acharya First Year or M.A. first-year marks will not be considered.

How to Apply for Bihar B.Ed CET 2025

  1. Visit the official portal at https://www.biharcetbed-lnmu.in.

  2. Read the full prospectus and instructions before filling the form.

  3. Click "New Registration" and enter your name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY), email and 10-digit mobile number - both will receive an OTP for verification.

  4. The Email ID becomes your Login ID for CET-B.Ed.-2025; choose carefully.

  5. Login and complete the application form: nationality, Bihar domicile (Yes / No - non-Bihar applicants will not get reservation benefits), category (UR / EBC / BC / SC / ST / EWS), Divyaang status, marital status.

  6. Enter Aadhaar number for identification proof. SMQ (Service Men Quota) and Divyaang sub-categories require supporting certificates uploaded later.

  7. Provide complete postal address with PIN code.

  8. Upload Matric, Intermediate, Graduation and PG (if applicable) marksheets - fields auto-calculate the percentage from total and obtained marks.

  9. Choose three preferred cities for the entrance exam from Appendix-I (Shiksha Shastri candidates: Darbhanga is the only centre).

  10. Upload your front-face colour photograph and signature, both in JPG format, 35 mm × 45 mm, file size up to 100 KB each.

  11. Read the Declaration carefully, click the declaration checkbox, and pay the application fee (regular or late, as per the date of payment).

  12. After successful payment, no change in gender, domicile or category is allowed.

  13. Take a printout of the final application form and the payment receipt for your records - there is no need to send any hard copy to LNMU.

Important Instructions

  • Examination centre cannot be changed after allotment by LNMU. The Centre allotted may not always be from the cities chosen.

  • For B.Ed. candidates not residing in Bihar, the "Other" option must be selected for domicile - they will not receive reservation benefits but can apply under Unreserved.

  • Admission is not automatic - qualifying CET-B.Ed. or appearing in counselling does not guarantee a seat. Original documents are checked at the time of admission.

  • Any law suit related to CET-B.Ed.-2025 will lie in Patna High Court jurisdiction.

  • BC / EBC candidates falling under the Creamy Layer will not get reservation benefits.
